Private Mobile Radio
Private Mobile Radio (PMR) is a term used to braodly cover all forms of 2 way radio systems. PMR has been used in construction for the last 15 years
Advantages
- Costs can be determind at the outset of the project
- Coverage is achievable up to 15 miles in ideal conditions but typically 2-3 miles
- Well established technology
Advanced Private Mobile Radio
More advanced PMR solutions are available at an additional cost. These interface to the PSTN (public switched telephone network) to provide external voice calls.
